| R.I.P - Jordan Luddeke April 1, 1988 - June 29, 2005
If yall havent heard already, if u know him, Jordan was killed in a car wreck this afternoon. His tire blew out while getting on 183 off of 360, and his truck hit a pole. I didnt really know him too well, but well enough because he used to always hang out with my brother. I remember when I first started middle school, he was always there when I needed help with anything. Well if you would please pray for his family and friends to help them get through this hard time, that would be great.

Crash kills Irving High senior

FORT WORTH - A Grand Prairie teen-ager died Wednesday afternoon when the truck he was driving blew a tire and crashed into an overpass support on Texas 360 just south of Texas 183, officials said.
Witnesses estimated that Jordan Luddeke, 17, was driving north about 60 mph when he lost control, Fort Worth Police Sgt. Don Hanlon said. Luddeke died instantly when the truck struck the concrete support, Hanlon said.
Luddeke, a well-liked senior at Irving High School, was on his way to his job at Finish Line Sports Cards in Irving. The news of the accident spread quickly.
A frequent shop customer driving by the accident about 3 p.m. recognized Luddeke's truck and called the shop owner. He drove to the scene, then notified Luddeke's 20-year-old brother, Justin.
A short time later, Luddeke's brother parked his vehicle across the highway, jumped over the concrete median and ran across three lanes through traffic, frantically yelling, "Where is my brother?"
A police officer put his arm around him as he told him his brother was dead. Justin Luddeke leaned into the embrace and sobbed as the officer carefully guided him away from the blue tarp covering his brother's body.
Minutes later, Jordan Luddeke's father, Brad Luddeke, a volunteer Grand Prairie fireman, arrived and also ran across the highway to his son. He knelt, lifted the tarp and identified his son, then rested his head in his hands.
"He was full of life and was the love of my life," his father said later.
Brad and Justin Luddeke continued to frantically notify relatives by cellphone as police cleared glass and wreckage strewn about the highway, access road and in the median. A chunk of the windshield lay about 50 feet from the accident.
Jordan Luddeke, an honor roll student, played on the junior varsity golf team and was recently elected to the Tiger Guard, a male pep squad, by the student body, his father said.
Luddeke had a second job as a greeter at Trail Dust Steak House in Arlington, and he was known as a jokester. When notified of his death, workers laughed, thinking it was another one of his pranks, his stepmother, Evonne Luddeke, said.
"He was very funny," his father said. "For his birthday he wanted a unicycle and mastered it in one day. You'd see him at 1 a.m. riding it out there in the street."
Strong in his faith, Luddeke went to church twice a week at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, his father said. The teen proudly displayed a Christian fish decal on the bumper of his truck. His father said the symbol, a reminder of his own faith, will help him cope.
Luddeke is also survived by his 6-year-old sister, Chelsea Luddeke of Grand Prairie; his mother, Pamela Luddeke of New Braunfels, aunts and uncles Rose and Dick Tacy of Canyon Lake, Joann and Chuck Nally of Schertz, Fred and Dee Luddeke, and Becky Shield, all of Bandera, and Mona Hogue of St. Helens, Ore. Funeral arrangements are pending.
